Join in the urban exploration of Sathorn Unique Tower in Bangkok (The Ghost Tower). The unfinished skyscraper was constructed in the early 1990’s and was halted during the 1997 Asian financial crisis, when it was already at the 80% complete stage. It is one of many derelict buildings in Bangkok, and one of the most popular with Urban Explorers.

The best waterfall in the Kingdom has to be Huay Mae Khamin within Sai Yok National Park, and this place is spectacular which would explain why Thai locals tend to stay away from Erawan and all venture to the tropical rainforests of Huay Mae Kamin.

Hellfire Pass is the name of the train line cutting on the former Burma Railway (Death Railway) in Thailand which was built by forced Australian POW labor during WW2. The pass is noted for its harsh jungle conditions and solid rock. A heavy loss of life was suffered by its laborers during construction. Hellfire Pass was named due to the sight of emaciated prisoners at night by torchlight being said to resemble a scene from Hell.

Burma Railway (Death Railway) in Thailand was a 415km railway between Ban Pong and Thanbyuzayat in Burma and was built by the Empire of Japan in 1943 to support it’s forces in the Burma campaign of WW2. The line was closed in 1947 but the section between Nong Pla Duk and Nam Tok was reopned ten years later in 1957.  More than 180,000 Asian civilian laborers and 60,000 Allied prisoners of war (POWs) worked on the railway.

Phraya Nakhon Cave is located in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park Thailand. The park was established in 1966, and was the first coastal national park of Thailand. The cave itself was discovered approximately 200 years ago by Chao Praya Nakhon Sri Thammarat while he was searching for a shelter during a storm. The most ideal time to visit the cave is between 10:30 – 11:30 as the sun shines through the caves roof at this time.

Every weekend Thais and tourists alike flock to the Amphawa Floating Market, as massive queues emerge along the canal’s bridges. Amphawa is the second most popular floating market near Bangkok, not as large as Damnoen Saduak but more authentic, with visitors almost exclusively Thai. Located 50 km from Bangkok this once small village was apparently already present in the mid-Seventeenth Century.
