Getting fcked in Thailand?

too-good-to-be-trueWell does it all sound too good to be true? Just like most things in life, if something sounds too good to be true it normally is. Travelling to somewhere like Thailand is no exception to that rule.

With all the scams that are run in the major tourist locations, the potential for you to lose your money, or worse your life can become a real reality.

Common sense is always a great tool for any virgin traveller to use, but in saying that some people’s common sense can be different to another’s. A great rule of thumb is to trust nobody, no matter what.

Don’t play into the lies that people will tell you, despite their potential enthusiasm.

Always listen to your gut instinct, 9 times out of 10 it will keep you out of trouble. If still you end up being in the 1%, work with the old adage, if it’s too good to be true it’s normally not.

Put simply don’t get fucked out of your hard earned travel money by thinking your somehow special. It’s all been done before, a million times, this quote from Fightclub always sums up things well.

“You are not special. You’re not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You’re the same decaying organic matter as everything else. We’re all part of the same compost heap. We’re all singing, all dancing crap of the world.”
