Thai Tourist Visa’s and Exemptions Explained

Thai Tourist Visa

Thai Tourist Visa
This is all based of having lived in Thailand for many years, having personally been on various types of visa’s, as well as feedback from experiences from friends who have visited the Land of Smiles.

If you have not leaft your home country, now is the time to work out what you need. Are you staying in the Kingdom for between 30-60 days? If you qualify for a Visa Exemption, ie you do not need a visa to enter the Kingdom, you can simply arrive and be granted a 30 day Visa Exemption or Visa Waiver, meaning you will NOT have a VISA but you will be granted to stay in the Kingdom for 30 days stamped into your passport.

Towards the end of this time (at say the 25 day mark), you can visit the local immigration department in your province, and apply for a further 30 day extension of stay (cost 1500thb) then all up you are in the Kingdom for 60 days, none of which is on a visa.

If you opt for the second option, ie you wish to be in the Kingdom for 60-90 days, watch the video and I will explain that in more detail.

Be aware! Check current information regarding obtaining a visa, check the Thai Immigration website AND also check the Thai Embassy website for the country you are applying in before apply for a Thai Tourist Visa.
